The Oxford Business Group in partnership with CFC Stanbic and Strathmore University has unveiled a new academic programme (Engage Forums) that will equip undergraduates with better understanding of business world, while exposing them to practitioners in a variety of sectors and giving students the opportunities to explore prospective careers.
“As we have seen in emerging markets around the world, including Kenya, there can often be a discrepancy between the skill set of recent graduates and the needs of the job market.
To help bridge this gap, we are rolling out the OBG Academic Programme in Kenya, in partnership with CfC Stanbic and Strathmore, to launch the Engage Forums and give students the chance to learn more about their future careers,” said Ms. Veselina Kracheva, Country Director for Oxford Business Group Kenya.
“We are privileged to work with Strathmore Business School to build capacity and help create an enabling environment that will help better prepare young people to participate in the new knowledge economy,” said, Abraham Ongenge, Chief financial officer, CfC Stanbic Bank.
