StarTimes Kenya launches subscriber loyalty campaign

Pay Television Company StarTimes Media Thursday launched a new subscriber retention campaign that will see its subscribers benefit from upgrades to higher bouquets upon renewal of their monthly subscriptions.

The three-month long campaign which starts on Friday 10 to January 31, 2018 will see the brand’s subscribers on its terrestrial and satellite television platforms automatically elevated to the next higher bouquet upon renewal of their bouquet of choice at no charges.

“Subscriptions are key in our ability to retail our strong subscriber base, we have therefore introduced this initiative to enable our subscribers to access more premium channels at no extra cost thereby extending more value for less,” said StarTimes Director of Marketing and Public Relations Japhet Akhulia this morning during the campaign’s launch in Nairobi.

For every monthly subscription made on Nyota bouquet, subscribers will access Basic Bouquet, customer enrolling to Basic will automatically be upgraded to Classic, while those on Classic will be access Unique bouquet while those enrolling to Unique will have access to ten extra days at no extra charges.”

The company has also extended a 25 per cent and 10 per cent price cuts for StarTimes terrestrial and satellite set to boxes respectively – whose retail prices will now be capped at Sh1, 499 from Sh1, 999 inclusive of one month classic bouquet subscription while satellite Combo set top box will retail at a discounted price of Sh1, 599 from Sh1, 999 inclusive of one month super bouquet subscription.

The prices of StarTimes digital television sets from Sh26, 499 to Sh23, 999 for the 32 inch TV set while the 42 inch TV set will retail at Sh39,999.
