Online classifieds site, OLX has been recognized as the best online classifieds platform in the country by the Digital Inclusion Awards. The company was feted for using its site to quickly enable virtual selling of used items through the platform.
Digital inclusion awards seeks to recognize and celebrate key players in various sectors that have adopted digital solutions in their daily businesses to offer their products and services in a more convenient way while changing lives of their customers.
“We are honored to have been recognized as the best online classifieds in the country. This recognition is a sure sign that our platform has indeed made selling of second hand items that would have otherwise not been sold, possible. Five years of being in the market has allowed us to optimize the platform and make it even better for consumers looking to sell faster,” said Peter Ndiang’ui, OLX country manager.
The Awards also recognized players in various sectors such as agriculture, health, travel, hospitality, tourism manufacturing as well as utility services. This was the first gala award event that is set to take place annually.
